4 STRATEGIES TO A BETTER OPT-IN LIST

Building an opt-in list, is the most important step in any online marketing business. You need to have a strong opt-in page to get people to join your list. Having a good opt-in page is the key to building a huge list that you can market to, time and time again.

Below I have listed 4 quick tips to help you build a better opt- in page.

*Write a headline that grabs their attention.

Your headline must stop them in their tracks. It needs to jump right off the page and grab them. It also has to display the benefits of your offer. You must tell them whats in it for them.

It also has to promise to solve a problem for them, or make something easier to do. Your headline must scream benefits for them or they will not be interested in joining your newsletter or list.

*Offer them something worthwile for opting in.

If you want people to opt in to your list you have to give them a good reason to join. Offering them a worn, tired ebook that is out of date or of little value, won't convince them to sign up.

Your gift has to have some value in order to get their email address. Remember, first impressions count here.

Your gift has to give you some credibility in their eyes, so don't offer them something that has been around for ages, or is more than six months old.

*Use bullet points on your page.

Bullet points are essential because they sum up all of the benefits of joining your newsletter or list. People tend to skim through large amounts of copy and only read the subheadings or bullet points.

You should always make sure that your bullet points contain all your benefits because "benefits" sell, "features" don't.

*Include a call to action.

Ok, so now you have their attention, you need to tell them what to do. You need to get them to take some kind of action, and the best way to do this is to simply tell them to "subscribe now" or "join my newsletter". If you don't tell them what to do , they will do nothing.

Its as simple as that. Don't be afraid to tell them what to do. Having a strong call to action is the most important part of your opt-in page.

Using Viral Ebooks To Build Your List

One of the best ways to build your list quickly, without spending any money on advertising is by using Viral Marketing. If you write a viral ebook and give it away to your list ,they will give it to their list and so on.Viral ebooks are not a new idea but it is an essential part of building your list. There are several different ways to market your viral ebook. You can give them away for free and let others give it away for free or you can offer reprint rights for a fee and they can make some money selling your ebook. This will motivate them to get your ebook out there quicker. This is a great method but once the book slows down you will have to create another ...and do it all again. Dont forget to include your newsletter's opt in form in all the ebooks you create. The main idea is to build your list, not make money.Another thing that you could do is to JV with some other marketers. Give them the ebook for free and provide them with a sales letter and mailing promotion. You can let them either give the book away or they can sell it with reprint rights and keep all the money as long as the link to your newsletter is kept intact. They will make money and you will get new subscribers.

Vital Step In Building A Responsive List

Today I want to talk about one of the most common mistakes that list builders make. This is one of the most important things any list builder needs to think about and decide first, before starting to build a list.

Identify & Choose A Specific Target Market.

In order to build a list that will earn you an income, you will need to know exactly what your target market is, and what they want. Once you understand their needs, it will be easier for you to build relationships with them and gain their trust and provide them with what they need. This is essential, if you want to make money.

It will be hard for you to build a responsive list if you are not sure what your target market is because you will have a list full of people who may not be interested in what you are promoting. People will unsubscribe from your list in droves.

For example if you know a lot about "freshwater fishing", and you go ahead and target "fishing", your audience will be too general, and half your list will unsubscribe because they may be interested in another aspect of fishing (ex. fishing games, fishing rods etc..) Try "freshwater fishing tips" instead, and make sure to throw in a few "freshwater fishing", related products to sell. Now you'll have their attention, you have something that they are interested in and you'll make some money.

Always be clear on what your target market is and you'll have better results with your list.

Hope this helps.
